The image I chose for this one very accurately represents how I and many other Patriots fans are feeling right now watching this play calling from a man who is completely incompetent.
Bill Belichick and his cronies, his own son Steve and former pupil Matt Patricia are running this team into the ground and it makes me sick to my stomach that Bill has the most job security of anyone in the NFL off the back of Tom Brady’s greatness for 20 years.
Mac was seen screaming at the top of his lungs at his offensive coordinator and it appears he was saying, “throw the f@#ckin ball, this quick game sucks.” Patricia and Belichick are the two most stubborn football minds in the game and the game has officially passed them by.
They have no clue how to run a modern NFL team and because Kendrick Bourne has said this to them and also in the media they are sitting their best receiver out of spite from some misplaced sense of ego.
This coaching staff is ruining what could be a decent young core and I am done cheering for this organization (not the players) until this staff is canned.
That being said…
The Cardinals absolutely stink as well and a lot of what I said about the Patriots rings true for them as well. The major difference being that Kliff Kingsbury is likely getting fired this off-season because of a clear rift between him and his quarterback but a general lack of competence as well.
So this one is probably going to be an absolute snoozer because despite all of my criticism of the Pats their defence is still quite good.
So let’s dive into this battle of the basement.
New England Patriots
So to be fair the Patriots are technically not in the basement and are actually sniffing around for a wild card berth, which is honestly shocking considering how bad their offence has been and maybe speaks to the AFC not being as strong as we thought.
They average 318 yards per game which is 24th in the NFL and score on average 2.4 TD’s per game also 24th. Even worse is their 3rd down conversion rate however which is a measly 36% putting them 25th in the league.
There is no doubt this offence is one of the worst in the NFL and it’s not because of a lack of talent it is all coaching and any evaluation that doesn’t include that as the biggest factor is simply incorrect.
The defence on the other hand is quite good. Ranking in the top 8 in many of the important metrics including yards allowed and points allowed which spells trouble for the Cardinals who have had a ton of issues moving the ball and could be without Deandre Hopkins once again.
Arizona Cardinals
Now the Cardinals are even worse than the Patriots in most ways. Their offensive metrics are almost identical with the exception of the points per game where the Cards are slightly better with 22.0 points on average.
Where they really struggle for all the talk of the offence is on defence where they rank in the very bottom of the league in every major stat.
They have recently overtaken the Chiefs for worst red zone defence, as they allow a touchdown on almost 70% of their opponents trips within it. They also allow the second most touchdowns per game to opponents.

4* Free Week 14 NFL Betting Prediction: Patriots ML -125
I like the Pats to win this one actually and continue their quest of remaining just relevant enough that Belichick keeps his job.
