A pair of 2nd place teams from the NFC battle it out on Sunday as the Minnesota Vikings head into Atlanta to do battle with the Falcons.
The Falcons currently sit in 2nd place in the NFC South behind the undefeated Panthers.

As for the Vikings, with their loss to Green Bay last week, they now sit in a tie for first, but by tiebreaker rules they are in 2nd place.
Minnesota
The Vikings had their winning streak put to rest last week at home against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. It was the first time since Week 4 they found themselves in the loss column and will look to bounce back here on Sunday.
While the overall win streak was put to rest, the Falcons do still have a 3 game road winning streak to their credit. They are 3-2 SU on the road and 4-1 ATS in those 5 contests.

Their trek to the top of the division standings has been thanks in large part to Adrian Peterson. The Vikings RB leads the NFL with 1006 rush yards.
Peterson leads an offensive charge that is scoring 21.1 points per game.
While that point total per game is kind of low, the Vikings are winning games because of their stellar defense.
The Vikings defense is allowing just 18.4 points per contest and 334.9 yards per game.
Minnesota has also been one of the solid bets in the NFL this season as they are 8-2 ATS.
Atlanta
The Falcons have really started to teeter following their hot start to the NFL season. Atlanta has dropped 3 in a row to fall to 6-4 on the season and with the Panthers running away with the division, Atlanta will have to battle it out for a Wild Card spot with the rest of the NFC.
Atlanta has also lost 2 straight inside the Georgia Dome as they fell to the Colts last week 24-21. Atlanta is now just 3-2 SU at home and 2-3 ATS on the season.

Turnovers have been the biggest problem for the Falcons thus far.
They’ve committed 4 turnovers in each of their last two home losses. But thanks to their solid rush defense, they’ve been able to weather the storm of the opposition having good field position.
The Falcons defense allows just 87.4 yards per game on the ground, which ranks first in the NFL. This will be their toughest test of the season in terms of opposing running backs with Adrian Peterson on the other side of the field.
The Falcons will also be without RB Devonta Freeman on Sunday. The RB, who started extremely hot and is now struggling, left the game with a concussion and will miss the contest.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Vikings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.
- Vikings are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. loss.
- Vikings are 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games following a SU loss of more than 14 points.
- Falcons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.
Falcons are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in November.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Atlanta ATS
With the Falcons needing a win here on Sunday, being at home is a major perk. Expect Ryan to bounce back and find Julio Jones a couple times down the field as Atlanta rolls at home to a 7th win.
