The week kicks off on Thursday with a huge AFC showdown. The Miami Dolphins will make the trip to NRG Stadium to take on the Houston Texans.
The home team has won the last three games played between the two teams.
Miami Dophins
The Miami Dolphins got off to a fast start to the season, but they have fallen back to earth the last weeks and they really need a win in this game.
They come into this game off a loss in their last game against the Detriot Lions, a team that has been terrible on the road.
One of the big issues that the Dolphins are dealing with is their quarterback Ryan Tannehill is dealing with injury and it’s unclear if he will play in this game.

If he can’t go the Dolphins will go with Brock Osweiler who has been pretty good this year. So far this year he has thrown for 415 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.
In this game it’s key the Dolphins get out to a fast start. They have made a habit of falling behind early, and it has bitten them.
They need to play the full 60 minutes and not take the first 45 minutes off.
Houston Texans
On the other side of this matchup is the Houston Texans who got off to a terrible start losing their first three games of the year.
Since that point a flip has switched and they have won four games straight. Against the Jaguars in their last game they took advantage of the ground game and that led to a victory.
On the defensive side of the ball they created fumble after fumble and with the way the defensive line has been playing it’s going to be a strength going forward. The likes of Watt and Clowney are really playing well and it has been a turning point for this season.

Deshaun Watson hasn’t had the flashy stats this season like he did his rookie year, but he is doing what he needs to do to help the team win games.
In this game they are going to need to have Watson be good again. If he doesn’t turn the ball over that has to be considered a big success.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Houston -7
The Texans are at home and I think the Dolphins are going to have another slow start to the game.
NFL Free Week 8 Score Prediction: Texans 27 – Dolphins 17
I expect Watson to have a game like he did last year, and that will be the difference. The Texans close it out in the 4th quarter and get a victory.
The victory will take another step forward as they try to win their division.
