The Raiders will be in Denver to take on the Broncos in week 6 of the NFL Season.
Both of these teams are coming off of losses in week 5.
Denver started off as 3 point favorites in this one and that has risen to 3.5. The total opened at 43 and I now see most of them at 44.5.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders got off to a good start, but they have now lost 2 games in a row. Whatever happens with this team will be done without Jon Gruden, who has resigned from the team.
Las Vegas was a 5.5 point favorite against the Bears on Sunday. Not only did they fail to cover, but they also lost outright. There are no excuses to lose to a team like that if you are the raiders.
The Chicago defense did a good job of neutralizing the Raiders. Las Vegas was never able to get into a rhythm on Sunday.
Derek Carr did not play up to his potential on Sunday. He was 22/35 for 206 yards and 1 interception. It will not get any easier for him when he has to go against that tough Denver defense.
The defense has been an issue for this team at times this year, but it was not the central issue on Sunday. If you allow 20 points, you would think you have got a chance to win. The offense was just flat all day and could not get the job done.
Denver Broncos
After a very good start to the year, many people started saying how good this Denver team is. I think they are a decent team for sure, but people need to pump the breaks a little bit when talking about this team as a true contender. They need to prove more before we can call them that.
Denver failed to cover a slight favorite in Pittsburgh on Sunday. The Steelers ended up beating them 27-19 which put them at 3-2 on the year. I know the Steelers have name recognition, but we all know they are not the team of old. Denver really should have handled their business in that game.
Overall, the defense of the Steelers did a good job against the offense for Denver. It is hard to win games when you score 19 points.
Teddy Bridgewater went 24/38 for 288 yards on Sunday. He threw 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. I definitely feel he can do well against a Las Vegas defense that is really not that good.
The defense, which is a major strength of this team, was not great in the Week 5 defeat. They allowed Big Ben to throw the ball deep down the field, something he has struggled to do all year long. They also allowed Najee Harris to run the ball 23 times for 122 yards. This unit will need to be much better on Sunday afternoon.

4* Free Week 6 NFL Betting Prediction: Denver SU
I have no idea what to expect from the Raiders after hearing the news about their head coach. I do not think it will have a huge impact on their play, but you never know. Denver is the better team and I feel they will win this ball game, but I am not totally sold on them covering. I did consider laying the points with them, but I do not love that hook. I am going to be a little safer and play them to win straight up. I feel they will bounce back after a tough loss in week 5. I look for the offense to be a little smoother than it was in the previous week. I do feel Vegas can keep it close, but not ultimately win the game. Give me the Broncos here.
