Finally — football. We’re still a few weeks away from getting serious with our bets, but the Hall of Fame Game signals one thing loud and clear: it’s almost go time.
Detroit vs. L.A. would be a juicy midseason clash. Both teams see themselves as legit contenders in their respective conferences.

Even so, I’m not expecting L.A. to showcase much schematically. However, if those QBs start pressing, things could get weird — and that’s when preseason overs come into play.

Detroit Lions
Detroit’s been stacking wins the last couple of seasons. No question, this roster is loaded with talent — but the sideline leadership was seen as their biggest edge.
Now, Dan Campbell faces a new challenge: proving he can elevate a staff that’s light on coordinator experience. It’s a different kind of test for a guy who’s built his brand on toughness and buy-in.

Meanwhile, Detroit’s backup duo of Hendon Hooker and Kyle Allen gives them steady depth. That’s more than enough to keep drives alive — especially for an offense designed to attack downfield.
Even if it’s not a shootout, both teams have the tools to find the end zone more than once.
