The Rams are in a bit of a rut, but there’s no better way to snap out of that than a visit from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Los Angeles has dropped three in a row, and they could be in danger of looking ahead to next Monday’s matchup with division leading Arizona.
The Jaguars have virtually no chance of getting the outright win heading to the West Coast on Sunday afternoon, but the bigger question remains is if they can keep this one within the 13 point spread?
Jacksonville is 2-9 on the year but to their credit they’ve been competitive while dealing with the growing pains of not only a rookie QB in Trevor Lawrence, but also rookie NFL coach Urban Meyer. Most recently the Jags lost 21-14 to Atlanta, their third time losing by one score this season.
Lawrence has had a mediocre rookie year throwing for 9 TD, 10 INTs and having a 58% completion rate. Sunday’s meeting with the Rams could be one of his worst of the season with Aaron Donald and Von Miller prepared to put constant pressure on the young signal caller.
One good thing the Jaguars did last week was get their running game going as James Robinson had 86 yards on the ground and Lawrence added another 39 yards rushing. The Rams have a top 10 rushing defense though, allowing just 104 yards/game.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are in the midst of a three game skid, falling to the Titans (28-16), 49ers (31-10), and Packers (36-28). At 7-4 Los Angeles is still in a prime spot for an NFC wild card spot, but they’re two games back from Arizona in the West and the Cardinals own the tie breaker so far.
Matthew Stafford needs a big game on Sunday to get his season back on track. The QB had a 300+ yard game against old foe Green Bay last Sunday, but a decent portion of that came with the Packers nursing a 36-17 second half lead and taking the foot off the gas a bit.
Stafford has also thrown 5 INTs during the Rams’ three game losing streak. The L.A quarterback faces a Jacksonville defense that held Matt Ryan to 190 yards passing last week, and they also limited Josh Allen to 31/47 passing with 2 INT in a 9-6 win over the Bills in week 9.
Trevor Lawrence is no Aaron Rodgers (at least yet) but do the Rams have some defensive concerns after allowing 400 yards of offense to Green Bay last week? The Rams are allowing 31 points per game over their three straight losses.

4* Free Week 13 NFL Betting Prediction: UNDER 48
It’s hard to touch the 13 point spread, because the Rams are in the look ahead game and just not playing well at all right now. The Jaguars are also 0-4 on the road though, and look very overmatched in the trip to the West Coast.
The under is the way to go here. The Jags defense is underrated, and looks bad statistically just because of how many times their offense has quick drives or turns the ball over. At the same time, it wouldn’t be a shocker if the Rams defense completely owns Lawrence here.
The fact that this total is 48 is kind of a red flag in itself.
