Cleveland’s defense is really strong, but Lawrence might not play due to a high-ankle sprain injury he picked up last week. He’s reportedly trying hard to be ready for Week 14 but isn’t there yet.
Also, the Browns have uncertainty with their own quarterback situation. So, it’s probably best to avoid this game altogether.
Even though the Browns are favored to pick up the win, I don’t like how their defense finished their last game. This wasn’t the Browns defense I’ve been watching in the first 10-11 weeks of the season.
If you force me to put a play on this matchup I guess I see the Jaguars covering the spread as 1.5-point underdogs. But I have to play on the Browns on the moneyline. (UNLESS Lawrence plays – then I’ll flip and have the Jags by 1)
On the over/under, I have the best bet being to take the UNDER.
This looks like a slam dunk bet for me, as my gut tells me the UNDER has to hit as well as our model projecting a combined 31 points.
The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Cleveland’s last 9 at home, and the UNDER has hit in the Jags last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning record.
It’s going to be UGLY.
