This is the final week of preseason and if you are looking for an entertaining preseason game to watch on Thursday, you might want to look elsewhere.
The Falcons and Jaguars aren’t likely to keep you on the edge of your seat.
When you watch the Jacksonville Jaguars, this is a pretty solid team from top to bottom; there aren’t many weaknesses.
However, their main issue is at the quarterback spot.
And in football the quarterback handles the ball every time on the offensive side of the ball and when that is your biggest weakness that’s a major problem.
Statistically, when you look at Blake Bortles’ stat line it’s not too bad as he went 12-of-16 for 125 yards, a touchdowns, and one interception.
That’s not bad looking, but when you actually watch him and see how the offense performs as a whole, he just isn’t good and he’s going to hold this team back.
We are so far into preseason now, so it’s kind of a moot point, but had this Jaguars team actually signed a quality quarterback in the free agent market – who is still available right now – this team would have the potential to not only win their division, but to make a run deep in the playoffs.
But, alas, they refuse to and might just end up blowing what could be a potentially good season for them.
The Atlanta Falcons had their worse offensive performance this preseason. Matt Ryan and the first team offense just couldn’t get anything going in their limited action and as a while the Arizona Cardinals shut them down.
It’s probably discouraging for Falcons fans, but it’s been quite clear that the Falcons are just very much disinterested in preseason.
They just haven’t looked in peak form, but you really don’t need to be.
This is a veteran team and they know what they need to do.

I wouldn’t expect much in this game. The Falcons have showed no real interest in preseason this year and the fourth and final preseason game should be no different.
On the other side, the Jaguars prime philosophy is to run the ball and they will no doubt pound the ball a lot in this one. Plus, the Jaguars have a lot of problems at quarterback and facing off against a good looking defense isn’t going to make things better.
There’s no line as of yet, but I’d wager that the best bet on the board will be taking the under in this game.
