Below are the top five prop bets that stand out on the prop sheet for Superbowl 51:
SuperBowl 51 Prop Bets #1: Will there be a Penalty for excessive celebration? No -450
In today’s NFL it seems a team can get an excessive celebration for even breathing wrong after scoring a touchdown.
Both of these teams seem to be team oriented first and understand the negative affects one of those calls could have on their chance of winning this Super Bowl.

If one of the teams were to get one of these penalties called I would say it would be by the Falcons. One thing a better has to take in mind is the total number of touchdowns scored.
There is projected to be more touchdowns scored then in previous years, which increases the chances of an excessive celebration being called. If I was a betting man I would say no, but the payouts are not in your favor.
I would stay away from this bet unless you are betting yes.
SuperBowl 51 Prop Bets #2: Luke Bryan to sign National Anthem? Over 2 minutes 7.5 seconds -120
For those that didn’t know country star Luke Bryan is singing this years national Anthem, which is only fitting because this game is being played in Texas.
Last year Lady Gaga added some controversy to the national anthem betting. She sang the word brave twice, which made betters wonder which time sports books would use.
They ultimately said she sang for 2:09 which was under the 2:20 time that was the over/under.
So how long will Luke Bryan’s rendition take?
In the opening concert of U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis he opened with the Star Spangled Banner. In that rendition he really carried on and took his time.
He clocked in at 2:29 seconds. If you use that as a guide even if he does pick up the pace you have a full 21 seconds to work with to win the bet on the over.
I don’t expect him to take that long with this performance but I expect him to clock in right around the 2:20 mark.
SuperBowl 51 Prop Bets #3: Highest Scoring Half- First Even
This is very simple bet to understand. Which half will have more scoring, the first half or the second half and overtime.

Atlanta averages 18.8 points in the first half well New England averages 15.3. In the second half Atlanta averages 15.6 well the Patriots average 13.1. If you add that up the two teams average 34.1 points in the first half compared to 28.7
That is almost a six point difference between the two halves. Now some experts will say it takes almost a quarter to get settled in to the Super Bowl and get the nerves out but I am not concerned with these two teams.
The Patriots have already been there, and I think the Falcons offense will overcome those jitters and score early.
SuperBowl 51 Prop Bets #4: Will the team that wins the coin toss win the game- No -115
The coin toss is such a simple concept but in the big game, can mean so much. But a lot of the times the winner of the coin toss actually doesn’t really have an affect on the outcome.
Teams winning the coin toss have gone on to win the Super Bowl 24 out of 50 times. But who will win the coin toss in this game? I think it will be the Atlanta Falcons for one simple reason, I believe the Patriots will win the game.
In their four previous Super Bowl wins they lost the coin toss. The two years that they won the coin toss they lost the Super Bowl.
SuperBowl 51 Prop Bets #5: Team to Score First- Falcons -105
If you read above I said that I think the Falcons will win the coin toss. That is the reason I believe they will score first in the game.

They have such a high powered offense and no one has really been able to slow them down this year.
They understand how important a fast start is in the Super Bowl and I think they will come away with seven points on the opening drive.
