The first matchup wasn’t all that long ago. (November 19th to be exact) and the Lions won with a 31-26 score over Bears. Even with a straight-up victory by the Lions, the Bears managed to cover the spread as +8 point underdogs.
The Bears missed a shot at winning two games in a row for the first time in almost two years.
They were up against the NFC North-leading Lions, who managed to come back from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter despite committing four turnovers, including Goff’s season-high three interceptions.
Fields had a strong performance, matching his career-high with 18 carries and gaining 104 rushing yards. He completed 16 out of 23 passes for 169 yards and threw a touchdown.
On the other hand, Goff, despite a rough start, rebounded to complete 23 of 35 passes for 236 yards.
The over/under line going into the game was 48 points, which the teams surpassed.

Out of these encounters, Detroit emerged victorious 72 times, while the Bears came out on top 97 times.

4* Free Week 14 NFL Betting Prediction: Chicago +3
The Bears are back in action after a break in Week 13, facing off against the Lions. Chicago secured a narrow victory in their previous game, defeating the Vikings 12-10 in what was one of the less exciting games of the season.
Meanwhile, the Lions had a successful outing in New Orleans, triumphing over the Saints with a score of 33-28 on Sunday. They also managed to cover the 3.5-point spread, and the total score went over 48 points.
Chicago’s secondary did a good job limiting Minnesota’s passing game in their previous game. To cover the spread the Bears are going to have to keep up on offense as I love the Lions speed at WR and their 4 WR sets will cause issues for Chicago. BUT having said that, I think Justin Fields can cause a ton of issues for Detroit’s run defense.
I found some useful stats for NFL Week 14 betting on a website, and I’m sharing them here without copying. Keep it concise: Chicago has a good track record against Detroit in recent seasons, with a 7-3 win-loss record in their last 10 matchups and a 4-1 record when playing on the road.
The Bears have also been performing well against the spread, going 3-0-1 in their last four games overall and in NFC matchups.
So, despite being 3-point underdogs at home, I’m confident in their ability to cover against Detroit.
Up to this point in the season, Detroit games have an average of 51.1 points scored. Considering the over/under line at 41, I’m going with the over.
For those who like Over/Under bets, here are some trends to consider. In 12 of Chicago’s last 18 Sunday games, the total score has gone OVER. Detroit has seen the total go OVER in 4 of their last 6 games, and in 8 of their last 12 when they’re the favorite.
