Dallas is locked into the fourth-seed in the NFC, behind the Chicago Bears, which means it will play the wild card team with the better record.

Right now, it’s the Seahawks, who beat the Chiefs in Week 16 to clinch a playoff spot and put themselves in position to play what’s regarded as the more beatable division winner. Minnesota and Philadelphia are also possibilities for Dallas in the first round.

New York Giants

New York improved this season but not by enough to stay out of last place in the NFC East. Even with Washington’s late-season struggles, the Giants will finish in the cellar again.

They did play valiantly in Week 16 against an Indianapolis side that absolutely had to win at home to keep its playoff hopes alive. The Colts got down big early and fought back, but not without an answer from the Giants.

Eventually, Andrew Luck did throw the game-winning touchdown and finished with 357 yards and two touchdowns.

Eli Manning threw for over 300 yards, too. He also tossed a touchdown, ran for one on the goal line and threw a crucial interception on the final drive of the game that iced the game for Indianapolis.

Was it Manning’s final game as a Giant? We’ll see. New York will have another top draft pick to potentially use on a young quarterback, unless the front office can find somebody else in free agency. The time certainly is now to make a big splash, with Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley in place.
