The Battle of Ohio takes place Sunday in Cleveland as the Browns continue to search for their first win as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals are really teetering on the brink here as they enter play on Sunday.
Sitting at just 4-7-1, the playoffs are becoming quite a mountain to climb as they need wins to start piling up. Given the Browns struggles this season, this is a nice spot to grab one on Sunday.
Cincinnati come in with some momentum as they took down the Philadelphia Eagles 32-14, in a game where they absolutely dominated on both sides of the ball.
QB Andy Dalton had a solid effort Sunday throwing for 332 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Given how bad this Browns secondary is, Dalton could be in store for another solid afternoon.
Dalton picked apart Cleveland earlier this season, but he had his two stars AJ Green and Giovanni Bernard along side him. This time around, he won’t, making things a bit more difficult for him come Sunday.
Cincinnati is just 1-5 SU and 1-5 ATS this season away from home.
The Browns continue to try and find their first win of the season and this may be their best chance on Sunday. They get a very thin Bengals lineup and come in off a bye week to get refreshed after their struggle of a first 11 weeks.
It’s been a combination of poor play on both sides of the ball for the Browns this season.
Cleveland ranks 31st in scoring defense, allowing 29.3 points per game, while allowing the opposition to rack up 400 yards of offense per game.
Offensively, things don’t get any prettier. Cleveland scores just 16.2 points per game while compiling only 313.8 yards per contest.
Home field hasn’t proved to be any sort of advantage for the Browns either. They enter play 0-6 ATS in their 6 home games this season, while getting outscored by an average of 29.2 to 15.5.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Bengals are 9-2-2 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
