The Bengals and Browns both earned wins in Week 15 but both are going to come up short of the playoffs.

The mood surrounding each team is vastly different, though. Browns fans are feeling good and have to enjoy being touchdown favorites on Sunday for the first time in who knows how long?
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati beat Oakland on Sunday, which is the least impressive win you can earn in the NFL today. Joe Mixon starred with 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Otherwise, the Bengals were underwhelming in front of an underwhelming attendance at home.
The win kept the Bengals’ slim playoff hopes alive and then they shriveled up when the Steelers beat the Patriots. Cincinnati has been mathematically eliminated and now the best it can finish is 8–8, which ought to just make Bengals fans sick.

Jeff Driskel completed just fourteen of his thirty-three pass attempts for 130 yards, a touchdown and a pick. That touchdown went to Tyler Boyd’s, who did the Chad Johnson river dance in the end zone.
The Bengals are terrible but they are going to want to beat the Browns badly in this game after Cleveland embarrassed them in more ways than one four weeks ago in Cincinnati.
Cleveland Browns
Cleveland blew the Bengals out in that game, 35–20, and then proceeded to showboat and then call out Cincinnati’s assistant coach Hue Jackson in the press after the game.
The Browns have won two of their last three since then, including a second road win over the Broncos in Week 15 to keep their very slim playoff hopes alive.
According to ESPN’s playoff simulator, the Browns have a one percent chance of earning a wild card spot. They have to, obviously, win out and then get some help from the Ravens, Colts and Titans.

But for there to be a scenario in which Cleveland gets into the playoffs as deep into the season as Week 16 is a huge lift to the fanbase.
The same can be said about having a chance to get to .500. Nick Chubb ran for another 100 yards last week. With the way he’s running the ball and the defense is playing, the seven-point spread isn’t anything outrageous.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: under 46.
Neither team does much through the air and both defenses will key in on the young, talented backs. I don’t see this game getting over the mid-40s.
