The Panthers finally got back in the win column and will look to make it back to back wins for the first time this season when they head into Los Angeles on Sunday.
After a red-hot 3-1 start to the season, the Rams have dropped 3 straight games and are now under the .500 mark at 3-4 entering play.
After being so close a to a Superbowl last season, the Panthers couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start this season.
The Panthers were in the midst of a 4 game losing streak, but finally got back into the win column with a 30-20 win over the Cardinals.
Carolina nearly coughed up their huge lead, but behind their stellar defensive effort that even saw the defense pick up a fumble and run it in, the Panthers prevailed.
Despite the win, QB Cam Newton still looked below sub par and needs to figure himself out if this team hopes to have some success.
Newton finished with just 212 yards and was held with no touchdowns, rushing or passing, for the first time since 2014.
While the Panthers are back in the win column, they still have a lot of work to do. It’ll start with Newton and him getting things rolling like he had last year.
Getting that swagger back will not just help him, but the rest of the team as well as they feed off his energy.
Los Angeles Rams
After their hot start to the season, the Rams have certainly got in the completely wrong direction.
Los Angeles has dropped 3 straight games and are certainly reeling. The question that continues to be asked is where is “Jared Goff?”
Prior to their bye week, the Rams went to London and looked all out of sync in a 17-10 loss. Despite the offense and Case Keenum looking a mess, the Rams had a chance to tie things up late. Keenum threw a lob pass to the endzone and found a wide open defender, which sealed the Rams fate.
Despite the horrific performance, Jeff Fisher said he is sticking with Keenum here on Sunday.
RB Todd Gurley also needs to figure himself out as well. If he can get the run game going, it can open up the pass game for Keenum and company.
Look for Gurley to get a lot of touches here early on as the Rams try to get him going.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Carolina -3
Carolina still hasn’t fixed everything despite their win on Sunday, but this is a nice spot for Newton to get his rhythm back.
