A pair of 1-1 teams get set for battle in Week 3 of the preseason as Buffalo heads into Washington.
Both teams dropped their preseason opener, but responded with a win in week 2.
The Bills opened things up in the preseason with a 19-18 loss to the Colts, but pulled off an impressive response in Week 2.
Buffalo took down the Giants 21-0, as their defense was extremely impressive throughout.
The Bills defense forced a pair of interceptions, along with a pair of fumbles as they were causing havoc in the backfield all night long.
Both Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel tossed a touchdown each in the win, as the duo is proving to be solid this offseason.
WRs Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods will be the top 2 guys this season for Taylor to throw too, but the rest of the wide receiving core is still to be determined. Greg Little has been targeted a lot through the first two games, as they try to get him back to his dominant self.
Last game, Little finished with 6 targets, 3 receptions, and a touchdown.
Like their counterparts, the Redskins dropped their opener and responded with an impressive win.
Washington fell in Atlanta 23-17, but followed that up 22-18 win against the Jets in Week 2.
The Redskins have most of their offensive depth chart figured out and they should be poised for another big season. QB Kirk Cousins sat out game 2 and got Colt McCoy some work in.
McCoy finished with an impressive 13/16 with 159 yards while adding a pair of touchdowns with an interception. He’ll get a similar work load in this game, but expect to see Cousins a little bit here in the early going.
Starting WRs DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon both sat out game 2 as well in the win.
Health is the biggest concern for the Redskins this preseason, as they look to let the backups battle it out for positions on the depth chart.
Expect the first team to get some work here, but only a series or two.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Bills are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games.
- Bills are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on grass.
- Redskins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
- Bills are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
Free NFL Betting Prediction: Under 43
With the Redskins not focusing on playing their first team offensively, this Under has value.
Expect the Bills to use their bottom of the barrel reserves here for the most part too, making this a slower paced game with little deep down field threats.
