Buffalo and Cincinnati both look to get back in the win column here on Sunday when the two teams meet in Cincinnati.
The Bills have dropped 3 straight games, while the Bengals struggled on Monday Night Football against the Giants, dropping their last contest.
The Bills used the bye week to regroup after a tough Monday Night Football loss to the Seahawks, that saw them fall 10 yards short of a win.
Offensively, this team hasn’t actually looked that bad either. The Bills have put up 25 points in 3 straight games and QB Tyrod Taylor has been solid as of late.
Taylor finished 27 of 38 for 289 yards with a touchdown in the loss to Seattle. He also hurt Seattle with his feet, running for 48 yards and a touchdown. Taylor has kept this Buffalo team in all 3 of their games during this skid.
It’s been the defense that has struggled. The Bills defense has allowed 28 points or more on all 3 occasions during the losing streak.
Buffalo’s offense may want to slow things down a bit, to try and keep this defense off the field for as long as possible.
QB Andy Dalton has proven to be efficient, but not explosive enough this season.
Dalton was 16 for 24, but had just 204 yards passing in the loss to the Giants. Dalton threw for a touchdown, but also had an interception as he continues to struggle in primetime games.
The good news for him is the 1:00 PM EST start here.
Cincinnati’s struggles to put up points are a bit perplexing too. The Bengals are 5th in the NFL in pass yards and 7th in rush yards per game. However, they rank near the bottom in terms of scoring with just 20.2 points per game.
Beating good teams has also been a huge issue. Wins over the Dolphins, Browns, and Jets highlight their schedule, as they struggle to put good teams away late.
This is going to be a game where AJ Green and Dalton have to get on the same page early. There will be plenty of deep ball opportunities, along with a lot of open space in the middle of the field. This Bills secondary is weak and should struggle with the Bengals pass attack.
NFL Betting Trends:
