Week 13 will feature one of the best rivalries in sports, the Baltimore Ravens facing the Pittsburgh Steelers. The teams have met 54 times with the Steelers winning the overall matchups 30-24.
The Ravens have won back to back games in close fashion and now hold the #1 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
The Steelers are 0-2-1 in their last 3 games and appear to be falling off from Wild Card contention in the AFC playoff picture.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens won a sloppy AFC North battle on Sunday night over the Cleveland Browns 16-10. Baltimore turned the ball over 4 times but benefitted from 2 Cleveland turnovers themselves to hold on for the big win.
Lamar Jackson looked horrendous throwing the ball, completing just 20/32 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. Jackson threw 4 interceptions but the Browns were only able to score 3 points off the turnovers. Lamar also ran often and finished as the teams leading rusher with 17 carries for 68 yards.
TE Mark Andrews led the team in receiving and finished with 4 catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. WR Marquise Brown led the team in receptions with 8 but they only went for a total of 51 yards.
Justin Tucker was automatic in the kicking game once again and finished 3/3 on FG’s including a 52 yarder.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh no longer looks like the contender they’ve been known for in years past. Father time has caught up to Ben Roethlisberger as he continues to look worse and worse as the season goes on.
The Steelers had a big AFC North showdown in Cincinnati last week and they were absolutely routed 41-10. The first half was capped off with a Big Ben pick-6 just a play after Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted Joe Burrow to give the Bengals a 31-10 lead.
Big Ben looked terrible throwing the ball, completing just 24/41 passes for 263 yards and a touchdown. Roethlisberger also threw 2 interceptions including the pick-6. Diontae Johnson was far and away the most productive target in the passing game and finished with 9 receptions for 95 yards.
Najee Harris was a nonfactor in the ground game and rushed just 8 times for 23 yards.
Star OLB/DE TJ Watt was placed on the COVID list and his availability for the week 13 game is in doubt. Watt has missed two games this season because of injury but still has 12.5 sacks in just nine games.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Ravens are 5-6 ATS this season
- Ravens UNDERS are 6-5 this season
- Steelers are 4-7 ATS this season
- Steelers UNDERS are 6-4-1 this season
4* Free Week 13 NFL Betting Prediction: Baltimore -3.5 & Under
Neither one of these teams have impressed me with their play as of late. Baltimore has edged by some inferior opponents thanks to Justin Tucker in the kicking game meanwhile Pittsburgh hasn’t won in weeks as Big Ben continues to look his age as each week passes.
The Ravens are currently the AFC #1 seed despite their vast amount of injuries. Baltimore continues to find ways to win which certainly won’t take much against this Steelers team.
I like Lamar Jackson to once again carry this Ravens offense and capitalize on the potential absence of TJ Watt. The Steelers defense has looked terrible in the last few weeks and I don’t see them having a huge change of trajectory this week.
Take the Ravens spread and the UNDER.
