The Ravens and Giants do battle in a matchup of former Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.
Kick off is set for 1:00 PM ET with QB Joe Flacco getting the start for the Ravens with Eli Manning opposing him.
The Ravens are on a two game losing streak. QB Joe Flacco has piled up lots of passing yards this season but it hasn’t resulted in touchdown passes (averaging 1 per game).
This week he faces a Giants secondary that had a tough time against the Packers offense last week, having to use multiple rookies in the game.
With the emergence of Terrance West long time starter Justin Forsett was expendable. He made the most out of his touches last week as he carried the ball 11 times for 95 yards.
Look for him to have another big game as Eddie Lacy ran for yards on just 11 carries Sunday night before leaving the game with an ankle injury.
West should reach the 100 yard mark and score late in the game.
With Steve Smith possibly sidelined with an ankle injury I expect Mike Wallace to carry the workload in the passing game. ast week against a good Washington secondary he had 7 catches for 63 yards.
If he gets targeted 11 times again he should go over 100 yards and a score.
The Baltimore defense gave up a lot of passing yards to Kirk Cousins, but they only allowed one touchdown pass. I expect them to have a good game against the Giants passing attack.
They were able to shut down Matt Jones and with Shane Vereen out for the year the New York backfield takes a significant hit.
New York Giants
It seemed like Eli Manning had an off day against the Packers.
He had a lot of throws over, under, or behind the receivers. If he is able to hit on a couple of those passes against Baltimore this week he should have a big game. Look for 250 yards and 2 scores from him.
With Shane Vereene out for the season, Orleans Darkwa becomes the feature back. Last week against Green Bay he only had 7 carries for 11 yards.
This week I look for him to have a tough time running the ball, as the Ravens defense goes up against a beat up Giants offensive line.
If not for a few missed passes from Eli Manning, Odell Beckham would have had a much bigger game.
He still scored a touchdown on 5 catches. This week he should have a huge game with 10 catches and over 100 yards with a score.
The Giants secondary only gave up two touchdown passes to former MVP Aaron Rodgers, but he too had an off game by his standards. With the injuries in the secondary look for Baltimore to attack the corners and safeties early in the game.
The defensive line must play much better than they did Sunday night.
Not only did they allow Eddie Lacy to average over 7 yards per carry, but many times the pass rushers would get stuck by the offensive line and not make any effort to get to Aaron Rodgers.
If they give that little effort this week the Ravens should score plenty.
