Titans 2020 Season Preview
Ready to check out our 2020 Tennessee Titans Win Total Predictions? Hopefully by the time the NFL season starts… this virus situation will be long behind us. The Titans hope so too as they look to take the next step and reach the Super Bowl. They were one of the surprises last season, going 9-7 in the regular season, but wins over Tom Brady and the Patriots and the number one seeded, Baltimore Ravens landed them in the AFC Championship game.

Luckily, they play in the AFC South division, which gives them a real chance to make it back to the playoffs even though Houston and a new look Indianapolis team stands in their way.
Tennessee continues to come up short in terms of their division, but still managed to have more success than their division rivals, Houston last season. Losing to the now Super Bowl Champions, Kansas City is nothing to hang your head about.
However, the Titans had a 10 point lead over the Chiefs in the second quarter. This was quickly thrown away in what would obviously be a loss. Now with their core talent back, Tennessee will look to improve on their season last year and perhaps aim for a division title and a few home playoff games.
2020/21 NFL Team Predictions – Tennessee Titans
- Tennessee Titans 2021 Super Bowl Odds: +2200
- Titans 2020 Win Total NFL Odds: 8.5
- Titans AFC South Odds: +160
Key Additions:
- Vic Beasley, DE
- Ty Sambrailo, OL
- Jack Crawford, DL
- Nick Dzubnar, LB
As of writing this, Vic Beasley is probably the biggest addition to the Titans defense. Beasley is not exactly a superstar, but he provides the depth needed to bolster their pass rush. Adding Sambrailo (also from the Falcons) should improve their offensive line as well to protect Tannehill from constant pressure.
Key Losses:
- Delanie Walker, TE
- Dion Lewis, RB
- Ryan Succop, K
- Jurrell Casey, DE
Three of these losses are really not that big of a deal because they either under-performed last season or were hampered with injuries. The loss of Jurrell Casey however, could prove to be a big loss if the Titans do nothing else.
Rumors would suggest that they are going after Jadeveon Clowney, but if they are unable to land him, Tennessee may have made a huge mistake.
2020 Tennessee Titans Predictions: Off Season Analysis
The Titans did not exactly make that many significant moves (at least not yet), but were able to bring back much of the talent that helped them reach an AFC Championship game.
This includes re-signing Ryan Tannehill, who had a resurgence of sorts. They also franchised tagged Derrick Henry, the monster at running back that carried them through the playoffs.
Adding some depth helps their defense too, but they still need that one difference maker who can disrupt the opposing quarterback on almost every play.
The Titans have 6 picks in the 2020 NFL draft this week. This includes one 1st round pick, one 2nd round pick, one 3rd round pick, one 5th round pick and two 7th round picks. Most mock drafts have them selecting a quarterback in the first round which could be their potential replacement for Tannehill.
2020 Tennessee Titans Win Total Prediction
Other than the AFC South, the Titans will play the AFC North and the NFC North. Their other two opponents are the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos. The AFC North is relatively weak besides the Ravens.
The Steelers, Browns and Bengals are all winnable games. As for the NFC North, the Packers and Vikings could pose a threat, but the Lions and Bears should be wins.
2020 Tennessee Titans Predictions: 9 Team Wins & 2nd in the AFC South (Bet Now at any of our reviewed NFL Sportsbooks!)
I look for the Titans to go at least .500 in their division with some close losses. They can split the NFC North games and could easily go 3-1 against the AFC North. That leaves one win remaining against the Broncos or Bills to get over the number of 8.5. With the Broncos in a state of rebuilding so to speak, I expect the game against Denver to be a crucial one and will help push Tennessee over their win total.
