Jets 2020 Season Preview
Ready to check out our 2020 New York Jets Win Total Predictions? The Jets gave their fans a glimmer of hope last season, finishing strong. However, that could be short lived as they could easily go back to struggling early this upcoming season. At the rate they are going, finishing the year at 8-8 would be an improvement, but I am not so sure that is even a realistic expectation. The good news is the Jets no longer have to deal with Tom Brady twice a year. Maybe that fact alone will motivate them and they can hang around in the division standings.

With the New England Patriots losing Tom Brady, it opens the door for the Jets to compete for the AFC East division crown. Not that the Jets are ready to take that big of a step, but they showed some life last season, finishing the year 6-2 after a 1-7 start.
They will need to avoid another disastrous start, which means Sam Darnold is going to need to improve. Furthermore, Le’Veon Bell needs to be more productive and find a way to look like he did with Pittsburgh.

Key Additions:
- Breshad Perriman, WR
- Patrick Onwuasor, LB
- Pierre Desir, CB
- A retooled OL
The Jets were pretty busy this offseason and managed to sign a deep threat such as Breshad Perriman. Darnold likely needs the help as his top receiver was Jamison Crowder. Crowder went for a team high 6 touchdowns and 833 yards.
Perriman also had 6 touchdowns last season with Tampa Bay. The only difference was he was in a receiving core that included Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Both of these guys had big seasons.
The Jets also completely retooled their offensive line in or protect Sam Darnold. Bringing in four new offensive linemen should give them that opportunity. Darnold got sacked 33 times last season, so you would think there is plenty of room for improvement.
As for the defense, the Jets picked up depth at both linebacker and corner-back, something they needed during this rebuild.
Key Losses:
- Robby Anderson, WR
The loss of Robby Anderson hurts this offense, which is why Perriman was a great signing. Anderson was the second leading receiver last year, going for 779 yards and 5 touchdowns.
2020 New York Jets Predictions: Off Season Analysis
Overall, the Jets made some good signings that will strengthen some of the positions in need. The upcoming draft will hopefully further help these positions, if the Jets are smart with their 11th overall pick.
Something to keep in mind going forward is the contract dispute with Jamal Adams. Nothing has happened as of now, but if the Jets lose Adams, they could be in trouble at the Safety position.
The Jets have 8 picks in the 2020 NFL draft this week.
2020 New York Jets Win Total Prediction
The Jets finished strong last season as I mentioned, but I still do not see them coming out with a winning record. Given the current situation, these new guys they picked up may not have the proper time needed to adjust to a new system.
That being said, their schedule also looks pretty tough, making 8 wins unlikely.
2020 New York Jets Predictions: 7 Team Wins & 3rd in the AFC East (Bet Now at any of our reviewed NFL Sportsbooks!)
The Jets play in a pretty weak division overall as they have Miami twice a year. The Patriots are likely not going to be as dominate as they have been for so long and the Buffalo Bills look like the best team in that division.
I expect the Jets to get swept by the Bills, they will sweep the Dolphins and possibly could beat the Patriots at home. That gives them a projected division record of 2-4 or 3-3.
It gets worse as they play the NFC West and AFC West this season. At best I believe they can go 2-2 against the AFC West, while I expect a 1-3 type record against the NFC West.
The two other games are against the Colts and the Browns, which could easily be 2 more losses or at best, 1-1.
