The NFC East got ugly last year, and it figures to again with each team vying for the division crown. There’s a lot of hatred and rivalries here, so there’ll be no love lost each time these teams take to the field against on another.
2017 NFC East Predictions: Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys Odds to Win 2017 Super Bowl: +1000
Cowboys Odds to Win 2017 NFC Conference: +500
Cowboys Odds to Win 2017 NFC East Division: +115
The Tony Romo chapter in Cowboys history is complete. He’ll be watching from the broadcast booth instead of the sidelines this season, handing the reigns to the offense over to the likes of Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant, and Ezekiel Elliott.

Prescott was a stud as a rookie, as was fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott. The offense will once again run through them. A healthy Dez Bryant for the full year will give them a big boost.
And Jason Garrett will again try to cover up the team’s many defensive deficiencies with a ball control offense powered by the team’s elite offensive line.
2017 NFC East Predictions: New York Giants
Giants Odds to Win 2017 Super Bowl: +2000
Giants Odds to Win 2017 NFC Conference: +900
Giants Odds to Win 2017 NFC East Division: +250
Time and again, teams that try to buy a championship fail. But bless the Giants for continuing to try. The team went out and signed Brandon Marshall in free agency to try to extend Eli Manning’s window of relevance.
Marshall will partner up with Odell Beckham Jr. to form one of the most dynamic one-two receiving threats in football.
And that wasn’t the end of it as they added stud tight end Evan Engram in the draft.
They let running back Rashad Jennings leave town, leaving Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen alone in the backfield, with Perkins expected to tow the load.
The front office invested heavily in the defense through free agency a year ago, and they’re surely hoping for better results from that group in 2017.
2017 NFC East Predictions: Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles Odds to Win 2017 Super Bowl: +5000
Eagles Odds to Win 2017 NFC Conference: +2500
Eagles Odds to Win 2017 NFC East Division: +400
Eagles QB Carson Wentz came onto the scene with a flurry last year, but then he started to look like a rookie and that saw the team collapse out of relevance in a hurry.
The defense played better than many expected that first month, and they’ll need to re-find that magic to get the team back over the hump.

The receiving corps got a big boost in the offseason with the additions of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. They’ll join Jordan Matthews and Zach Ertz to form one of the deepest receiving corps in football.
LeGarrette Blount was signed late in the offseason and will likely take on first and second down duties to take some additional pressure off Wentz.
2017 NFC East Predictions: Washington Redskins
Washington Odds to Win 2017 Super Bowl: +5000
Washington Odds to Win 2017 NFC Conference: +2200
Washington Odds to Win 2017 NFC East Division: +400
The Redskins need to make a decision already on Kirk Cousins. Either he’s their guy or he isn’t. But slapping a franchise tag on him for the second year in a row does a disservice to them, and to him.
Now he’ll have to learn how to play with a very different group of receivers.
DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon both left via free agency, while Terrelle Pryor was brought in to help fill the void. Josh Doctson also figures to play a bigger role – if he can stay healthy – in his sophomore season.
The backfield is a bit of a mess with rookie Samaje Perine likely to take over for Rob Kelley at some point. And adding Josh Norman didn’t have the desired effect a year ago.

It shouldn’t be too surprising if any one of these teams won the division, except maybe the Eagles.

The Cowboys are the favorites, and rightly so. They may not be the most complete team in the group, but they do the best job of covering up their deficiencies.
And the Giants usually wait until the second half of the season to step on the gas, and the Cowboys could be out of reach by the time that comes.
