Cleveland NFL Handicapping Insight
2017 Cleveland Browns Win Total Odds: Under 4.5 (-130)
The Cleveland Browns didn’t see many improvements on the field last year under first year head coach Hue Jackson. They finished with a 1-15 record and got the first pick in the NFL Draft. Their only win came in the last game of the season against the San Diego Chargers.
Even with not many results on the field, hope is still high around this Cleveland Browns organization. They feel like Hue Jackson and the front office is building this team in the right way, and that in a few years they will be back to relevance.

But the biggest question is how is this going to relate into this year and this team? Will the results be there this year, or is this team still a few years out from actually competing.
Browns Win Total Odds: Key Additions
The Browns had a very busy off season both in free agency and the draft. In free agency they signed guard Kevin Zeitler from the Bengals to a five year deal. He should help sure up an offensive line that had all sorts of issues last year.
In free agency they also signed wide receiver Kenny Britt, and center J.C. Tretter.
The Cleveland Browns were also very active in the draft signing 10 players. They had three first round picks taking Myles Garrett first overall, Jabrill Peppers 25th overall and David Njoku 29th overall.
They hope all these guys can be key parts of their team for years to come, and help develop the new wave of the Cleveland Browns.
The other big name guy they got in this draft was quarterback DeShone Kizer from Notre Dame who they took in the second round. They hope that he will be able to develop into the quarterback of the future for this team.
The Browns also made a trade for Brock Osweiler from the Texans. At the time it seemed like just a trade to get a first round draft pick, but now it seems like he could have a shot to win the starting job.
Browns Win Total Odds: Key Departures
The Browns were able to keep most of their free agents but they did have a couple guys leave, and a few that they might really feel the impact of. Alshon Jeffrey and Jay Cutler.

The biggest name they had leave was Terrelle Pryor who went and signed a one year prove it deal with the Washington Redskins. He was the number one wide receiver last year for the Browns and I think they will really feel the impact of his loss throughout the season.
Browns Win Total Odds: Season Preview
This year is all going to be about development for this team. They aren’t going to win the Super Bowl overnight but they need to go about this process right to have chance at success in future years.
I think the biggest question mark facing this team is who is going to be under center. It seems to be down to three guys in DeShone Kiser, Brock Osweiler, and Cody Kessler.
Whoever ends up leading this team is going to be the difference maker in winning this season. They need to have consistent play from that position, and hopefully get a guy in there that will start all sixteen games.
2017 Browns Win Total Odds: Under 4.5 (-130)
There is no question this team improved, but I don’t think they improved enough to even have a realistic shot at making the playoffs.

I think more then wins or losses the development is going to matter most. They need to figure out if they have the quarterback of the future on their roster right now, or if that is something they still need to search for.
Whoever is the quarterback will have his fair share of struggles because the weapons just aren’t around him yet. I think this team will win three games, four if they really play their cards right.
