2016-2017 Titans Preview & NFL Future Lines
Looking for 2016 Tennessee Titans Predictions? We’ve got your back. The Tennessee Titans have been one of the worst run franchises in all of sports for years now. That led to a front office turnover, but even the new group allowed Mike Mularkey to stay on as head coach after he went 2-7 as the interim coach last season. That was followed by a slew of underwhelming free agent signings.

2016 Titans Roster Changes
For as bad as the front office is, they knew to take advantage of the Rams following their move to Los Angeles, and they got a steal of a haul in that blockbuster, all while giving up a quarterback they didn’t want.
Then moving up from No. 15 to No. 8 netted them offensive tackle Jack Conklin who should be a starter from day one.
Ben Jones is another good addition to the offensive line. Rishard Matthews could wind up being a key target for Mariota in the young quarterback’s sophomore season.
Looking to re-find the DeMarco Murray magic may be a tad ambitious for a franchise that’s never had any luck in that area.
2016 Tennessee Titans Predictions: Offense
This year needs to be all about Marcus Mariota for the Titans. They need to sell out everything they’re doing to further his development as a quarterback, whatever the cost is.
He showed a lot in his first year in Tennessee that he never did in Oregon, and if he continues to progress in year two the way he did in year one, this season will have to be considered a success.
The offensive line is decent with those new additions, but it’s still nothing like what Murray ran behind in Dallas.
It may be wise to cut his carries from what’s projected and give those extra touches to Derrick Henry, a rookie out of Alabama.
At wide receiver, Matthews should see a high volume out of the slot. Tight end Delanie Walker had a career best year and figures to be a big part of the offense again.
But the big questions surround Dorial Green-Beckham, who’s looked at times like a kid with the potential to be a true No. 1 talent at the position, and at others, he’s looked like a disaster.
Which DGB will show up in Week 1?
2016 Tennessee Titans Predictions: Defense
The defense is going to be asked to do a lot given the current state of the offense, and the Titans’ defense just isn’t good enough to hold up to what will be demanded of it.
Very quietly, the team has one of the best defensive tackles in football in Jurrell Casey. It’s a shame he’s lost in anonymity on a bad team. He’s been so good for them for years.
2016 Tennessee Titans Analysis:
Years of bad drafting and inept management have the Titans in terrible shape, but there are some young, talented pieces starting to find their way onto the roster.
Quarterback is the toughest spot on the depth chart to fill, and the Titans have one in Mariota.
It’s too early for him to work any miracles, and if he gets hurt again the team will be lost, so another year as the league’s worst team may be in order.
At worst, another top-5 pick seems like for one of the top candidates for the worst record in the NFL.
