The Yale Bulldogs will be on the road to take on the Harvard Crimson on Sunday, January 9th.
The tip-off is set for 2:00 ET from Lavietes Pavilion.
The Crimson started off as a 1.5 point favorite and that number is now up to 2. The total has gone from 143.5 to 145.5.
Yale Bulldogs
Yale has really not played all that well so far this season. They just have not been consistent enough, which is never a good sign for a team.
The Bulldogs last played on December 28th, where they lost to the Saint Mary’s Gaels by a score of 87-60. That loss does really come as a surprise to me considering the difference in the two teams.
When you look at their schedule, they have played a lot of winnable ball games, but the results have just not been there. Sure, they lose to a very good Auburn team, but besides that, they have not faced any squads that are world beaters.
In their last game, the offense was just not good enough for them. It is hard to win in college basketball when you score just 60 points.
Harvard Crimson
Overall, Harvard has played pretty well this year. Again, I know they play in the Ivy League, but I still liked some things that I have seen out of them so far.
The Crimson come into this ball game with a record 8-5. Similar to Yale, they have not faced any mighty squads, but they have at least taken care of their business more than their opponent has.
These guys lost to the Brown Bears on Friday by a score of 84-73. They will get another crack at a conference foe when they face the Bulldogs on Sunday.
Noah Kirkwood was the leading scorer for them in their last game with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Also, Chris Ledlum had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even with some good performances on the offensive side of the ball, it was not enough to knock off the Bears.
CBB Betting Trends:
- Yale is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games.
- Yale is 1-4 SU in their last 5 game.
- Yale is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against Harvard.
- Harvard is 17-3 SU in their last 20 games at home.
- Harvard is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games at home against Yale.
- The total has gone over in 4 of Harvard’s last 5 games played in January.
Free Yale Bulldogs vs. Harvard Crimson NCAAB Summary:
When these two Ivy League teams square off, I am always interested.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: Harvard ATS
Yes, this is a rivalry game, but Harvard should really be able to take care of business in this one. They should not be losing to a team in Yale that they are better than.
In this spot, i just feel that the Crimson will be too much for the Bulldogs to handle. Also, I like the fact that they are playing at home.
For me, the 2 points are not too high to lay with Harvard. I am not saying they are going to crush their opponent, but I think they can do enough to cover this number.
Give me Harvard laying the 2 points here.
