Forget Virginia. Forget Kansas. Forget Baylor. No one is quite as long, athletic, and ultimately as stifling as the Mountaineers are on that side of the court.
The only team that allows a lower effective FG% against is Memphis. The only team that allows a lower 3pt FG% against is Arkansas. The Mountaineers have the fifth best DRtg, are top-20 in points allowed per game, and are second in KenPom adjusted defensive efficiency.
Bob Huggins team is in solo third in the Big 12. However, thanks to how great Baylor and Kansas are, Bob Huggins team is also in line for a 2-seed in the Big Dance.
