The Rockets are 6 – 1 with their first 7 MAC games of the year and you clearly see that even when this team loses they go down fighting and don’t get blown out.
Ryan Rollins is an animal and he is clearing 19 points a game leading this team in scoring. He has plenty of athletes around him and ALL OF THEM know how to play the glass. Look up and down this roster and the rebounding numbers are impressive.
Even the dudes back in 9th on this depth chart the likes of Mihai Corcoana are grabbing 2 boards a night and he only sees the court for 5 minutes a game.
Ohio Bobcats
Similar to the Rockets, the schedule has been a little forgiving for Ohio but now that we are in conference play this team is rolling. You damn well know the line setters are giving them those 4 points at home because of the 9-game win streak and how this team plays in this building.
Now, defending teams like Toledo? Yeah, not so much and this is certainly one huge test for both of these programs, in fact.
Toledo wants to come here and prove they have 14 wins for a reason and the Bobcats certainly are right there with them top the MAC standings.
Mark Sears is the dude in Athens and he too averages over 19 PPG this season but how about that FT percentage, baby? Does that say 91.6% from the stripe? Yes, it does, and the 42.9% from behind the arc is ridiculous too.
The Bobcats shoot free throws as well as any team out there so we expect both of these teams to get to the line and contribute to this total.
