Armando Bacot has enjoyed a great junior season thus far. The 6’10 senior has double-doubled in his last five games, and he grabbed a career-high 17 boards in the loss to Notre Dame. Bacot leads the Tar Heels in scoring (15.7) and rebounding (10.4).
Caleb Love looks like the next great UNC guard. The 6’2 sophomore scored 22 points in win over Michigan, and he’s second on the team in scoring (15.6) and assists (3.3). RJ Davis has also taken a second year leap in the UNC backcourt, scoring 13.7 ppg and leading UNC with 3.6 apg.
UNC struck gold with Dawson Garcia and Brady Manek in the transfer portal. They’ve come in and solidified the starting five, both averaging double figures and grabbing six boards per game.
Senior guard Leaky Black’s impact goes beyond the score board, and he’s one of the best role players in the country.
