We got a rematch from last week on our hands in the A-10 as the St. Bonaventure Bonnies will travel to Davidson to take on the Wildcats on their home floor.
St. Bonaventure won the first game on Sunday to move into a tie for first place in the Atlantic 10 standings with a 9-3 conference record. Meanwhile, the Wildcats saw their five-game winning streak snapped to the Bonnies and will try to even the series on Wednesday.
St. Bonaventure Bonnies
Mark Schmidt’s squad comes into the week slotted at No. 43 in the latest KenPom rankings after getting back on the winning track over the weekend. They moved into first place with the win over Davidson on Sunday, but have since fallen into a three-way tie for second with VCU’s win over Saint Louis on Tuesday. The Bonnies have a chance to tie VCU for the top spot in the A-10 if they can sweep the season series with Davidson.
Junior guard Kyle Lofton leads the Bonnies in scoring with 15.6 points per game. St. Bonaventure has a very balanced scoring attack with all five of their starters averaging over double figures. Mark Schmidt does not like to use many players as he usually sticks to an eight-man rotation in games. The Bonnies lead the conference with an offensive rebounding rate of 34.5 percent and they have shot a healthy 35.0 percent from 3-point range through 12 conference games
St. Bonaventure averages 71.00 points per game this season which is 190th in the nation. They shoot 45.15% from the field and average 33.91% from behind the three-point line.
They surrender an average of 62.93 points per game which is 23rd in the country. Opponents are shooting 38.97% from the field when facing the Bonnies and 30.89% from beyond the arc.
Davidson Wildcats
Davidson was unable to keep up with the Bonnies in a 69-59 loss on Sunday. Kellan Grady and Hyunjung Lee scored 18 points apiece for the Wildcats in the losing effort, but nobody else could make any shots.
Senior Kellen Grady leads the Davidson scoring attack with 17.9 points per game, but he can’t do it all on his own. He needs the support of his role players in this game to step up and make shots when he is getting double-teamed. Carter Collins averages 12.2 points per game but posted a goose egg on Sunday and they lost by 11 points.
The Wildcats are averaging 73.47 points per game this season, while they are shooting 47.78% from the floor and 36.52% from beyond the arc.
On the defensive side of the ball, Davidson gives up an average of 64.24 points per game which is 43rd in the nation. Opponents are shooting just 42.21% from the floor and only 33.59% from three-point range.

Free St. Bonaventure Bonnies vs. Davidson Wildcats NCAAB Prediction:
I’m leaning with the Wildcats to avenge the loss from Sunday. The Bonnies guards shot lights out from beyond the arc in the first matchup and I don’t see them repeating that type of production on the Wildcats home floor. This season the Bonnies average 33.91% from three-point range, but in the first matchup, they shot 52.4% from beyond the arc cashing in 11 of 21 threes. When St. Bonaventure has hit the road this season they are landing just 25.22% of their three-point attempts, which makes them the worst road three-point shooting team in all of college basketball. If Davidson can make a couple more shots in this game after shooting less than 40% in the first matchup they should be able to roll here with the Bonnies road offensive struggles. Give me Davidson and the points to exact revenge on their home court.
