Missouri Tigers
Missouri dropped some tough games earlier on in its non-conference schedule: at Xavier and on a neutral floor vs Butler and Oklahoma.

That loss has become a rallying cry for the Tigers, who have won four in a row since. They started on the road, which was probably where they wanted to be after the, frankly, embarrassing loss.
That’s where they beat a good Temple team by ten and felt the turn-around. Since, they have beaten Southern Illinois, Illinois and demolished Chicago State by fifty-eight points.
Defense is this team’s strength. Missouri is allowing just over fifty-five points per game and a twenty-six opponent’s three-point percentage.
Problem is, Missouri doesn’t even shoot thirty itself. Mark Smith, the co-leading scorer at exactly 11.8 points per game, is really the only marksman Mizzou has. He shoots over forty percent from three on 6.5 attempts per game.
Kentucky Wildcats
Missouri will struggle to score against Kentucky’s defense, which, it not elite, is well better than average.
The Wildcats are top-50 nationally in limiting opponents’ shooting percentage (41), free throw attempts and assists. They are also third in steals with Ashton Hagans averaging over two per game himself.

He isn’t a great outside shooter but is excellent inside (52.5 percent from two) and averages 13.4 points per game to go along with 7.3 assists, four rebounds and the steals.
