Well, it may not be the hottest game of the night but it is a Big Ten battle nonetheless and these programs both need a win to keep those winning records intact.
The Wolverines are doing the alternate wins loss thing as they have gone back and forth the last 6 games with a 3 – 3 record over that span. Michigan picked up a win over San Diego State their last time out and Hunter Dickinson had himself a ball game contributing 23 points with 14 rebounds in the winning effort.
Nebraska now has to find a way to avoid falling back under the .500 mark and they’ve already lost their first Big Ten Conference game of 2021. The Huskers have lost their last 2 games after having their 4-game win streak snapped by N.C State in the Big Ten – ACC Challenge. The 4 overtime loss was followed up by the loss to Indiana last time out. 68 – 55.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan is stuck in the W-L-W-L-W-L cycle and they are hoping to break that otherwise, an L is staring this team in the face again according to that scenario.
The line setters are expecting Meeechigan to get back to their winning ways favored by almost a touchdown on the road. Oh, finding out the football team made the playoff this past weekend will probably throw an amp in the old meter too.
And you damn well know that this team wants to not let the football team steal all of the attention during hoops season. Well, it is bowl season too which is the most wonderful time of the year so okay, we will just expect to see Michigan come out strong riding the adrenalin of that story.
Anyway, Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson has everyone in Ann Arbor happy he came back and nights like he just had against San Diego State are why. The dude landed 23 points and 14 boards and the effort pushed him .1 of a point above his teammate Eli Brooks as the scoring leader entering tonight’s contest.
If you don’t know who Mr. Dickinson is yet, just look for some rather large man at 7-1 at center who takes up just a little bit of space in that #1 jersey. Oh, someone worked on his outside shooting because every big man can stay in the paint and bring down rebounds.
Dickinson decided to go ballistic and not just shoot 1, or even 2 3-point shots to show how much he has improved. Oh, he went on and nailed all 3 of his attempts from behind the arc and I do believe you can still hear the roar from that Ann Arbor crowd if you listen closely.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
Oh, baby, did you see that 4-overtime affair? What a game, man, that was just insane to watch unfold and I could write up a 2,000 review of that night if I felt like it but Q will kill me, LoL
Can I just say Dereon Seabron and let you go look into the rest? I mean damn, the dude put up 39 & 18 for the Wolf Pack, and obviously, it helps when you play essentially 3 halves of hoops in one night. 4 overtime periods! Oh yeah, I said I wouldn’t go too crazy about that but that was just college hoops at its best and he is no one that Nebraska wants to remember!
Anyway, all right, well the Indiana game was a disastrous way to open your Big Ten Conference slate, and did you hear that noise coming from Assembly Hall? Oh, that was just the thud sound from every damn shot this team put up from distance and pretty much all around the floor.
The Huskers shot 5 of 22 from distance and 23 of 61 overall but hey, they make 80% of their free throws in the loss. Too bad they only took 5 of those all night, however, and talk about a stone-cold under in the first half… Holy shit did both of those teams build an entire house of bricks as it was 14 – 4 when the under 12-minute timeout hit. I SAID 14 TO FUCKING 4, man!
Nebraska actually was the team holding that lead and then we don’t know who is responsible for the last 31 minutes of shit basketball this team played. Maybe it was that 4 overtime affair carrying over and we all know that adrenalin can be a good thing and when it wears off you might as well get back on the bus!

Free Michigan Wolverines vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers NCAAB Betting Prediction:
The heart of the Big Ten schedule hasn’t gotten started yet but these early conference games are still just as big as a game in March. I see that total as way too high and I expect a 71 – 61 road win for the Wolverines. I will just stick with the total instead of laying any chalk, however.
