Early Big Ten conference play rolls on with these two teams heading off in College Park early on Saturday. Both are 11-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play coming into the matchup.
However, Indiana remains unranked while Maryland holds the #15 spot in the AP Top-25 going into Saturday.

The Hoosier’s 11-2 record looks impressive, but it’s important to note they’re 2-5 ATS in their last seven and have failed to cover in their previous three games.

They have beaten the teams they are supposed to beat, and even have an impressive home win against #18 Florida State. But their last two losses have come against top-50 KenPom teams (Wisconsin, Arkansas) while their last three wins have come against teams who fall outside the KenPom top-50 (Connecticut, Nebraska, Notre Dame).
KenPom’s ratings has the Hoosiers ranked 33rd-overall with a 27th-rated adjusted offense and a 59th-rated adjusted defense. Their offense is fairly efficient and one area where they really excel is in offensive rebounding, as their KenPom Off. Reb. % is top-20 in the nation.
Their main offensive contributor is Freshman Trayce Jackson-Davis. The 6-9 forward is averaging almost 16 points/game on 64% shooting from the field. His offensive rating this year is top-15 in the nation.
Maryland Terrapins
Maryland started the season at #7 in AP’s preseason top-25 poll, but have had a rollercoaster of a ride recently.
In their last four games, the Terrapins are 2-2 SU and 0-4 ATS. Their two losses came at Penn State and at Seton hall, who actually are both ranked top-25 in KenPom this season.
Despite the recent stumbles, Maryland’s still a top-15 AP team and a top-10 KenPom team. This Maryland team is good and should be a threat come March.
