Things have been very rough for this Idaho State team this year. That really should not come as a surprise, though.
The Bengals lost to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Saturday by a score of 73-70. They were leading after the first half, but a strong second half by Northern Arizona proved to be too much for them to handle.
It is not like I thought this team would be excellent this year, but they have had some winnable games on their schedule. It is not like they have played world-beaters every night. This is going to be a long season for this ball club.
Even though Cal is not a great opponent, the Bengals have not faced anybody on their level so far this year. They are going to be challenged an awful lot in this game.
Cal Golden Bears
Cal has really not played all that well so far this year. They have yet to play all that consistently. I guess they could get better as the year goes on, but I am not banking on it.
The Golden Bears currently have a record of 4-5. Things will only get harder for them when they exclusively play games within their conference. That is why games like this are so important for them to take advantage of
This team lost to the Utah Utes on Sunday by a score of 66-58. This was a game they could have won, but the Utes rallied back in the second half and got the win.
I actually liked the way the defense played against Utah, but the offense was really not that great. It is very challenging to win games when you score less than 60 points. They should be a lot better in that department when they go against Idaho State.
