We have the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Florida Gators headlining our Super Tuesday showdown in the SEC. The Razorbacks are coming off an exciting overtime win against #10 Missouri 86-81, while Florida has not played a game since losing at home to South Carolina 72-66 on February 3rd due to cancellations with COVID.
Florida Gators
The Gators will be returning back to the court after a thirteen-day pause with COVID. The last time on the floor Florida let one slip away against the Gamecocks after having a five-point lead at the half. Mike White’s team only managed 26 second-half points after posting a 40 spot in the first half. They got outscored 13-1 in the final six minutes of the game which ultimately led to their downfall.
2020 highly rated recruit Tre Mann has broken out this season for Florida. He leads the Gators in scoring with 14.5 points per game. He has increased his scoring average by 9.2 points since his freshman season and is going to be a huge factor for them going into March. Michigan transfer Colin Castelton is the second-leading scorer on the squad. He averages 13.2 points per game while pulling down a team-high 5.6 rebounds a night.
Florida averages 77.53 points per game this season which is 58th in the nation, but only 75.53 points when it comes to conference play which is 7th in the SEC.
The Gators give up an average of 71.07 points per contest on the year, which puts them 207th in the country in the defensive category.
Arkansas Razorbacks
The Razorbacks will try to continue their winning ways as they host the Florida Gators on Tuesday night. Arkansas is 6-1 straight up in their last seven games with their only loss coming against Oklahoma State in the Big-12/SEC challenge in which they only lost by three points.
Freshman Moses Moody leads Arkansas in scoring with 16.3 points per game, but Indiana transfer Justin Smith is the most important player to this Razorbacks team. When Smith is in the lineup the Razorbacks have gone 15-2 straight up with their only losses coming to Alabama (who has just one loss in SEC play) and Oklahoma State by three points. When Smith is out of the lineup Arkansas is 1-3 straight up and lost by double digits twice in that span. He chips in 11.6 points per game and leads the team in rebounding with 6.5 boards a game.
The Razorbacks are an offensive juggernaut averaging 82.81 points per game on the offensive end of the floor this season, putting them as the 10th best scoring offense in the nation.
Arkansas is shooting 45.06% from the floor this season. The Razorbacks attempt 23.90 shots from deep a game and cash in 8.14 of them per game to be shooting 34.06% from beyond the arc on the season.
They have been better on the defensive side of the court as of late and are giving up just 70.4 points per game on the season. In SEC play though they surrender 75.4 points per game which is 9th in the conference.

Free Florida Gators vs. Arkansas Razorbacks NCAAB Prediction:
I lean with the Gators in this matchup even though they are coming off a thirteen-day pause. Florida is 11-1 against the Razorbacks in their last 12 games and 5-1 ATS in their last six while playing on the road at Arkansas. The Razorbacks are currently riding a six-game winning streak in SEC play, but if you look they have been played the weaker opponents in the conference over the last month. This will be their first true test since facing Alabama almost a month ago. Recently the trend has reversed as we see teams coming off a COVID pause cover 64.2% since the beginning of February and I’ll take my chances with the better team in Florida. Give me the Gators as a small play to cover as road dogs. (Keep an eye out to see if any Gators are missing before tip-off because you never know who is playing after a COVID pause in 2021,.)
