The Seaton Hall Pirates have been red hot recently winning their last nine in a row including posting a perfect (6-0) in the new decade. The last time they faced the Blue Demons it was the December 30th Big East season opener and also the return of Myles Powell to the lineup after suffering a concussion. He came back just in time, scoring 27 points on route to an easy victory for the away team.
Powell is the Pirates leading scored averaging just under 22 a game while Quincy McKnight is great complement to Powell bringing in around 11 points and five assists. The senior leadership these two guards provide has been a huge force in the recent hot streak the Pirates have been on and theres a sense of purpose when those two are on the court.
Seaton Hall is ranked #10 in the nation going into Wednesday, that is their highest ranking in over 20 years. Myles Powell returned for his senior year to raise his draft stock and put the Pirates in a position to make a deep run late in March. The 22 year old is on a mission and while he’s projected to be a second rounder at the moment, things are likely to change.
