The Bulls won’t enjoy the same luxury, as they’re getting thrown right back into the fire following a grueling road trip. Buffalo will be facing a team which ranks inside the national top 10 for the second time in three days.
Buffalo Bulls:
The Bulls were in the tournament early this calendar year, but lost head coach Bobby Hurley during the offseason. The team is also without all-conference guard Shannon Evans, who joined Hurley in the move to Tempe, and last year’s MAC player of the year, Justin Moss, who was dismissed from the program for an off-court incident.

Now Buffalo makes the trip out to Tempe on a two-game losing streak, falling to St. Bonaventure by a score of 60-58, then losing to No. 7 Duke by a score of 82-59 on Saturday.
Iowa State Cyclones:
Iowa State’s been off for six days following an 84-64 victory over North Dakota State on Tuesday. That game was closer than the final score indicates, as the Cyclones led by two points with 12 minutes remaining before pulling away for their 30th consecutive non-conference victory at home.

Abdel Nader scored seven of his 21 points down the stretch to help the Cyclones pull away from the Bisons. Standout forward Georges Niang put up 13 of his 15 points in the second half after sitting out a portion of the first half with a muscle cramp.

Free CBB Prediction:
The Bulls built up a reputation as a fast-paced, high-scoring team with all the national exposure they got in last year’s tournament, but the reality of their current situation is that they are merely a shell of the team that won everyone’s heart last March.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: Under 156.5
Hurley is gone, along with two of the team’s top talents, and, most importantly, his system. The Cyclones can certainly score the basketball, but the Bulls won’t be able to hold up their end of the scoreboard, making for a one-sided sided game that plays comfortably under the number.
