Both teams last played Friday with the Wizards getting the benefit of facing the suspension-leveled Magic defeating them 119-100 while the Bucks snapped their four-game losing streak with a dominant second half to defeat the Wolves 123-114.
Last season the clubs played three times with the Bucks taking two of the three contests. The Bucks hold the all-time record having bested the Wizards in 127 of their 221 matches

Washington Wizards
The Wizards might be the most confusing team in the NBA. Their season has been a series of ebbs and flows punctuated by winning and losing streaks.
Washington’s first 21 games incorporated a four-game win streak, and two three-game losing streaks balancing out at 11-10 as of November 28th.
It seemed the wheels fell off at that stage as the team suffered a 10-game losing streak but has since won five of six games including their current four-game win streak.
Star Bradley Beal missed a stint of five and six games and is out again dealing with a hamstring injury. His second injury occurred during the team’s longest losing streak.
The concern is Beal’s impact hasn’t equated to pushing the club over the top. In fact, the team functions approximately the same with (10-13) or without him (6-8) in the lineup.
Diving deeper against teams .500 or better the Wizards perform only slightly better with Beal (6-9 for 40%) versus without him (4-7 for 36.3%).
This isn’t exactly the effect a franchise covets from a player they just ponied up a long-term deal with giving him the unprecedented right to refuse a trade.
Keep an eye on Washington because either way they seem destined to be active at the deadline — the question is will they be buyers or sellers?
Offensively, the Wizards score 111.9 points per game (20th) shooting 48.1% from the field (9th) and 34.7% from the perimeter (19th). Defensively, the Wizards allow 112.9 points per game (15th) while opponents shoot 46.3% from the field (8th) and 36.8% from deep (26th).
Beal (hamstring) and Taj Gibson () are questionable..
Milwaukee Bucks
After climbing to the top of the mountain the Bucks suffered some adversity losing four in a row briefly dropping to fourth but they’d won so much early all it took was the victory against the Wolves to climb back to second.
Giannis Antetokounmpo refused to be denied posting a monster line featuring a double-double of 43 points and 20 rebounds, plus five assists, a steal, and two blocks.
Opponents score the sixth-fewest points versus the Bucks with 110.5 and are limited to the second-lowest (45.4%) field goal percentage and rank 10th for perimeter efficiency 35.3%.
Offensively, the Bucks score 112.9 points per game (17th), while shooting 45.9% from the field (24th) and 34.5% from the perimeter (21st).
Jrue Holiday (illness) and Middleton (knee soreness) are out.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Wizards are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games.
- The Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
- The Wizards are 1-10 SU in their last 11 games against Milwaukee.
- The Bucks are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games.
Free Washington Wizards vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction:
While the Wizards have posted some good efforts recently they’ve also benefited from the level of competition and who wasn’t on the court for the opponent.
It was clear Friday, the Bucks recognized they needed to break out of their funk, and with Khris Middleton once again sidelined the support group need to step up and stop looking over their shoulders awaiting his return.
Although I expect Milwaukee to bank the win without Holiday or Middleton the spread is far too rich, so take the points.
