Saturday, December 17th finds the Utah Jazz playing the Milwaukee Bucks in the first of two scheduled matches. Utah will host the second contest on March 24th.
Both teams last played Thursday with the Jazz shocking the Pelicans by sweeping the baseball set taking the second game 132-129 in overtime while the Bucks got blown out 142-101 by the Grizzlies.

Although the Jazz had leveled off from their early blistering start they aren’t ready to concede to tanking — at least not quite yet. Utah made that point crystal clear by sweeping the Pelicans in the baseball set.

Milwaukee Bucks
With an opportunity to cut into the Celtics’ lead, the Bucks laid an egg getting hammered by the Grizzlies. Khris Middleton looked like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Early in the match he aggressively swiped the ball out of Steven Adams’ hands. A few plays later, Dillon Brooks forced him to turn over the ball and his response was to wrap his arms around Brooks’ legs and then pull the Grizzlies forward to the ground.
It was an uncharacteristically dirty play from the wing and surprising given he’d just returned from a long injury absence himself and that action could’ve injured Brooks’ knee or ankle. Middleton was assessed a flagrant one punctuating his rough 1-12 night (3 points).
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way (19 points, six rebounds, five assists) which was well off his season averages of 31.1 points, 11.3 rebounds (2.1 offensive boards), 5.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game.
He’s shooting 53.0 percent from the field on 21.4 attempts, 25.7 percent from the perimeter on 3.2 attempts, and 62.8 percent from the stripe on 12 attempts.
