The Denver Nuggets are coming off a 120-104 point win over the Phoenix Suns, ending their 4 game losing streak.
While in the East the Toronto Raptors came away on the losing end of a 127-121 points loss at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.
Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors couldn’t contain the Warriors stars all of last game, and that came back to hurt them in the end as they gave up 127 points to the ex champs.

However, they did keep the game close for much of the match but a sloppy second quarter of play (scored only 15 points) came back to hurt them.
The Warriors played outstanding basketball for four quarters, and Toronto just couldn’t match their play.
Now to be fair they were going up against three superstars. But that doesn’t make up for their lackadaisical play on the defensive end of the floor.

Toronto allowed Golden State to shoot 50.6% from the field. That’s just not going to cut it, when going up against one of the elite teams in the league.
The good thing is though, next game they’re playing the 4-7 Denver Nuggets. That means they’ve got the upper hand in this matchup, as Denver just isn’t as skilled and experienced as their Canadian adversary.
So Toronto should have themselves an easier night defending this game, because the Nuggets aren’t as talented as Golden State.
They’ve got some future star talent, but their younger players are still finding their place in the league, so it makes it challenging for them to win close games.
Toronto is no pushover so this game is going to stay tight from start to finish, meaning the Raptors have got themselves the better chance at coming out on top.
The Raptors have got two stars that they can rely on, in DeMar DeRozen and Kyle Lowry. They are both competitors that wont allow this game to get out of their grasps, so look for them to both have huge games.
Especially Kyle Lowry, since he’s going to be defended by second year guard Emmanuel Mudiay.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are coming off one of their best games of the season, as they came away on the winning end of a 120-104 point game over the Phoenix Suns.
Denver came out of the gates looking like the aggressors early, but Phoenix kept fighting back with some nice play of their own. But a lousy first quarter of play came back to hurt them in the end, as Denver came away victorious.
The Nuggets did a great job of keeping T.J. Warren in check, as he scored just 8 points, while shooting 2-11 from the field. That was a key catalyst in why the team came out on top, because they just didn’t allow the Suns star players to go off.
I mean even Eric Bledsoe scored only 8 points.
Now that’s going to be needed in this game with Toronto, as the Raptors have one of the best backcourts in the league. DeMar DeRozen and Kyle Lowry have got to be slowed down if Denver’s to come out with the win.

The Nuggets cannot allow both of them to go off for 20 points apiece, that’s just not going to get them the win.
If Denver is to come out on top they’ve got to hang their hat on the defensive end of the floor, because Toronto has more scoring options then Denver.
That makes it challenging for the Nuggets to come out on top without defending, as they’re not going to win this game outscoring their opponents.
That means the Nuggets have got to clamp down defensively is they want to win this game. They have enough scoring to pull out the win, but they can’t let this become a track meet with Toronto.

Free Toronto Raptors vs. Denver Nuggets NBA Prediction:
Although the Toronto Raptors are favorites to win this one, look for Denver to come out on top. The Nuggets have got more depth and a stronger second unit.
That means Denver’s starters just have to keep the game close with the Raptors, and they’ll likely do that as Danilo Gallinari and Jusuf Nurkic are both going to be a load to stop.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: +4
The Denver Nuggets second unit is just going to be too much for the Toronto Raptors, so look for the Nuggets to come out on top at home.
