They have to be one of the more disappointing team this season. Again, nobody had them being some great team, but they should be better than this.
It would be one thing if this was a roster that was devoid of talent, but that is not the case. They have some players, but they just have the inability to play well together.
Sacramento got beat by the Denver Nuggets on Friday by a score of 121-111. They just had no answer for Denver’s best player, Nikola Jokic.
In the loss to the Nuggets, the leading scorer for this team was De’Aron Fox, who had 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. In a year that has not been great for his team, he has been a bright spot for this franchise.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Trail Blazers have had a very, very bad season thus far. There is not much else to say.
As of now, Portland has a record of 14-24, which puts them in 12th place in the Western Conference. Based on the talent they have, that seeding should be much better.
I get that this team has dealt with injuries, but they were struggling when they were fully healthy. The 2021-2022 season is just not theirs.
The Cleveland Cavaliers beat them on Friday by a score of 114-101. The score is about what I expected, frankly.
With the two best players for Portland sidelined with injury, other guys are going to have to step up and I am just not sure that is going to happen. So far, I have been proven correct.
