Sacramento Kings
The Kings had won seven out of eight and were making a charge toward the cluster of teams huddled around the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
They had just beaten the Clippers at the Staples Center and were set for a five-game home stand against four teams from the East and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Well, Sacramento lost them all. And the only game that was particularly close was against the Grizzlies (Sacramento lost by four).
Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes have been out for the last game (two in the case of Holmes).
Holmes is the team’s leading rebounder and Barnes is third, behind Marvin Bagley, too. So the Kings have been bullied around a little bit without those two in there.
That isn’t likely to be a big issue against the Chicago Bulls, who rank 22nd in the league in offensive rebounding and have not a single player who averages more than six rebounds per game this year.
Chicago Bulls
Instead, the Bulls rely on team rebounding from all five positions. All five starters and three guys off the bench had at least three boards in their most recent victory over the Pistons. Thaddeus Young led them all with ten.
Chicago may also not be as aggressive in this game because it has a game in Philadelphia on Friday night before traveling back home. That will play in the Kings’ favor, even if Sacramento is on the road.
Zach LaVine’s tremendous season continued against the Pistons. He scored 37 on 14-of-22 from the field. He now averages 28.5 points per game on 52/44/85 from the field/three-point/free-throw.
He has not had any issues dominating on the second night of back-to-backs this season.

Free Sacramento Kings vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction: Sacramento wins straight-up.
Getting Barnes back would be big for the Kings because he offers perhaps their best chance to make life difficult for LaVine.
But either way, I lean Sacramento because I’m figuring it will get a few points on the spread, which well may make the difference.
Consider this a true coin flip between two teams that could shoot well or could shoot poorly. The Bulls are playing a little bit better and have the home court but they also have the disadvantage in the schedule with the back-to-back.
So assuming Sacramento gets a few points here, take a shot. The moneyline, to me, is a true pick.
