Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors NBA Prediction:
Tuesday, January 7th finds the Portland Trail Blazers facing the Toronto Raptors for the second and final time this regular season. Toronto won the first game 114-106.
Last season, the teams played twice splitting the contests. The Blazers hold the all-time record having bested the Raptors in 28 of their 46 matches
Portland Trail Blazers
The Heat jumped on the Blazers from the tip Sunday and never looked back. The loss was their sixth in seven outings. Although some of those losses were against elite teams (Jazz, Lakers, Heat) the losses were against the Pelicans, Suns, and Knicks.

Coming to the 6ix would seem like an opportunity given all the injuries, then again, the Raptors are scrappy and have lost just a single time to the Blazers over the past five seasons.
Hassan Whiteside didn’t get a glowing reception back in Miami which was odd given he didn’t opt to leave he was traded. Perhaps the South Beach faithful felt he was holding back the fabulous Bam Adebayo from being unleashed.
Whatever the reason, Whiteside wasn’t phased delivering 21 points and 18 rebounds while Damian Lillard also posted a double-double of 34 points and 12 assists.
The trio of Anfernee Simons (19), Carmelo Anthony (11) and Mario Hezonja (10) all registered double-figure scoring.
Two starters lead all the stat categories and with Damian Lillard topping scoring (27.1 points), assists (7.6) and steals (1.0). Hassan Whiteside tops rebounds (13.9), field goal percentage (60.4%), and blocks (2.8).
CJ McCollum missed the game in Miami suffering from an upper respiratory infection and is questionable for Tuesday.
Skal Labissiere (left knee inflammation) has missed the last three games with no timetable for return.
Rodney Hood (Achilles) will miss the remainder of the season. Jusuf Nurkic (leg) remains out until February and Zach Collins (shoulder) won’t return until March.
Toronto Raptors
The Jekyll and Hyde games to end week 11 featured the Raptors worst offensive effort in Miami (76 points) followed by the 121 point Nets blow-out punctuated by a 73 point second half.
Early in the match, Kenny Atkinson tried to employ the same zone defense and after one set quickly abandoned that idea recognizing the Heat game was an outlier.
Serge Ibaka led the Raptors with a 21 point 12 rebound double-double while Lowry (24) and Fred VanVleet (29) feasted. However, Ibaka came up lame at game end and VanVleet was forced to leave in the fourth when his back tightened up.
Team leaders feature Pascal Siakam (25.1 points), Kyle Lowry (7.4 assists) and Fred VanVleet (1.9 steals). OG Anunoby leads in rebounding (5.9) and field goal percentage (49.4%) while Chris Boucher leads blocks (0.8).
Pascal Siakam (groin), Norm Powell (shoulder), Marc Gasol (hamstring) and Dewan Hernandez (ankle) have all missed nine games. Matt Thomas (broken finger) has missed 21 games. All five remain out.
Nick Nurse stated on Saturday that Powell and Thomas are closer to return than either Siakam or Gasol “who remain a ways away”.
