This Friday Night match-up will see the Phoenix Suns take on the Golden State Warriors.
These two teams have met once this season in which the Suns crushed the Warriors 121-110.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns will have had plenty of rest having not played since this past Monday. Boy did they need some days off as well considering they are in the middle of a seven-game losing streak. They came extremely close to beating the Nuggets in their last game, losing just 113-111.
Despite their record, the Suns have a top 6 scoring offense. They average 114.7 points per game. As for shooting, they are right around the middle of the league, averaging 45.8%. Their three-point shoot however, has suffered, ranking in the bottom third of the league at 35.1%.
The Suns are led by no other than Devin Booker. He is leading this team in scoring, averaging 24 points per game.

Defense for this Suns team has been below par to put it nicely. They allow an average of 115.5 points per game. This gives them the 25th best scoring defense. Teams shoot an average of 48% against them and 37.6% from the three point line.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have managed to string to get three straight wins after their win over the Houston Rockets on Christmas. They won this game 116-104.
Even though they scored 116 against Houston, their overall offense has still been the glaring issue to their season. They average 105.2 points per game, giving them the 25th ranked scoring offense in the NBA. Despite some injuries to their key guys, it would seem the younger talent on this roster are starting to mesh well together.
The biggest difference during this three-game win streak in their shooting. Normally they have 43.1% from the field and 32.9% from the three-point line. Over their last three, their field goal percentage has increase to 44.9% and their three-point percentage has increased to 34.1%. Most recently, they shot 47.1% from the field against the Rockets.
As for scoring, D’Angelo Russell is technically their leading scorer, averaging 22.2 points per game. Although it should be noted that Russell has played only 20 out of the 32 games this season. Alec Burks is now the second best scorer, averaging 15.6 points per game. After a fast start, Eric Paschall has seen his scoring average drop to 14.7 points per game. A few other guys average double-digits as well, but overall this roster is very depleted.
Overall, the Golden State defense has also been poor this season. They have allowed 113 points per game, which is the 20th ranked scoring defense in the NBA. Teams shoot 47% against them and second to worst 38.7% from the three-point line.
It needs to be noted that during this three-game win streak I mentioned, the Warriors are allowing 103.3 points per game. This includes the game where they basically shut down Houston considering how good the Rockets offense can be.

Free Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Prediction:
In reality, the Warriors are just glad to have won on Christmas is front of their home fans. They also beat one of the leagues top team, so it is very possible they are getting overvalued here.
Even though the Warriors are winning games right now, the Suns are the better team with Devin Booker and I believe they will win this game by the small spread that is posted.
