Orlando has been on the skids ever since they lost Markelle Fultz. Who knew he was the linchpin for what they were doing.
New York has been better than expected this season. I am not sure it is sustainable though. When you watch them there is not much there.

Markelle Fultz for MVP? The Magic can’t win or even get close without him.
At least in their last game against Brooklyn, the offense came alive, scoring 115 points. It was not enough but they had scored in the 90s the four previous games.
I never liked the Magc backcourt even with Fultz but I guess they were at least functional when he was on the floor. Now with a rookie in his place it has been tough.
In the recent loss, Cole Anthony scored 16 points. That is viable but not when it is on 15 shots. He needs to be a little less trigger happy.
They also need more from hs backup Jordon Bone. He had zero points in 20 minutes against the Nets. You have to be able to get some scoring from every spot on the floor.
Nikola Vucevic looks like he will have his best season ever. He is no Jokic but he is being asked to do more and is delivering. He can really do it all, he made 6 threes and had 7 assists against the Nets.
At some point, the Magic will change their fortunes but on the road against the Knicks is a harder spot than expected this season.
New York Knicks
New York has lost five straight games coming into this spot. Someone is going to end a losing streak in this one.
It has been the New York defense that has helped win some games this season. They are 5th in points allowed. Make sure that Mitchell Robinson and Nerlens Noel are available in this spot. They are key to that success and are both on the injury report.
Julius Randle has been awesome this season, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists. Rookie Immanuel Quicklyey is also coming on with the second unit. If he keeps it up they will have to start him.
RJ Barrett seems to be coming along in his second year. He is just never going to be the kind of killer they want him to be, I don’t think. With Randle assuming Alpha status he can blend in more.
