The Oklahoma City Thunder haven’t had an elite season but this is a team that can compete with most teams most nights.

Coming into this game they have won six of their last ten games, but two of those losses did come in their last three games.
The last time these two teams faced off it was all about the Thunder’s defense being strong. They gave up only 92 points in that game and the defense is going to need to find a way to be elite again during this game.
If the defense struggles in this game and it becomes a shootout, that could be a really big issue. Against an elite Rockets offense, a shootout is not what they want to be involved in.
Terrance Ferguson and Abdel Nader are both questionable for this game, and that could be a blow to their depth if they miss this game.
Houston Rockets
On the other side of this matchup is the Houston Rockets who are really struggling and there are a lot of grumblings coming out about them.
In their last game they collapsed during the second half against the Los Angeles Lakers. During the 3rd quarter the offense only scored 17 points and that was enough for them to be knocked off.
Over the last five games the Rockets defense is giving up 116.8 points per game and that is going to need to also improve.
One thing to watch in this game is who will be available to go in this game. PJ Tucker is dealing with a shoulder injury, while Austin Rivers is dealing with a thumb injury. Both guys are questionable heading into this game.
