Saturday, January 28th, the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets meet for the second of four scheduled matches. Brooklyn won the initial meeting 112-84 on November 9th. The Knicks will host matches between the clubs on February 13th and March 1st.
Both teams last played on Thursday with the Knicks gaining an impressive 120-117 victory on the Celtics floor while the Nets got stuck in the trap game losing 122-130 to the tanking Pistons.

It’s not like no one understood how valuable Kevin Durant was to the Nets — they knew. Initially, Brooklyn struggled without him losing four in a row but seemingly got back on track with consecutive wins.
Then they lost in Philly and again versus the Pistons punctuating the fact things are far from okay.
The problem is Kyrie Irving is having to do so much scoring while also keeping everyone else invested it takes a toll on him so by the end of games he’s exhausted and just doesn’t have the same pep in his step.
The good news for him is fans voted him as an All-Star starter which isn’t something I thought we’d see after the off-court issues at season start.

Brooklyn allows 111.6 points ranking sixth and possesses the third-best opponent field goal percentage of 45.3% but ranks 24th on perimeter defense as foes shoot 36.8% from deep.
Brooklyn scores 114.3 points per game (14th). They own the best field goal percentage, shooting 50.9%, and rank second on the perimeter (39.0%).
Ben Simmons (knee soreness) and Day’Ron Sharpe (lower back soreness) are questionable while T.J. Warren (left shin contusion) is doubtful and Edmond Sumner (Achilles soreness) is probable for Saturday.
