Knicks vs. Hawks Gameday
Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Playoffs between the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks is on tap in the third game of the day at 6:00 p.m on Saturday.
Atlanta took the series lead with a 109-108 nail-biting victory on their home court. CJ McCollum came up big in clutch time again as Jalen Brunson very uncharacteristically struggled to close the game.
Four Knicks scored in double figures led by OG Anunoby with 29 points, nine rebounds and four of eight on his 3-pointers. Brunson took 23 shots, connecting on 11, but was 0 of 5 from deep. Karl-Anthony Towns registered a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds plus four stocks.
Four Hawks scored in double-digits, led by Jalen Johnson, who flirted with a triple-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Jonathan Kuminga was big off the bench with 21 points.

New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks Odds & Last 5
For the past three years, the Knicks have won the head-to-head regular-season series versus the Hawks. In this campaign, they led two games to one.
Historically, the teams have met in the postseason on three occasions, with the Knicks winning twice, but the Hawks won the most recent (2021) meeting when Trae Young was still with Atlanta and famously quieted the Mecca.
Coming into the playoffs, the Hawks were one of the hottest teams, winning 19 of their final 24 contests. New York was also strong to close the season, winning 12 of their final 16 contests.
The Knicks are favored by a spread of 1.5 points while the over/under is 214.5 points.

New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks bottom line:
The Knicks begin to ignore their greatest advantage, which is Karl-Anthony Towns. The Hawks don’t have anyone who can stop him, so it’s perplexing why he’s not the guy getting the ball more than Brunson.
That strategy ended up costing them in both Game 2 and 3, so Mike Brown needs to make that tweak in order to even up the series.

Knicks Hawks Free Pick: Knicks -1.5
Here is my Knicks Hawks free pick.
Quin Snyder has outcoached Mike Brown early in this series, so the pressure is on the Knicks coach to step up in Game 4. One area of concern is Mikal Bridges, who has struggled mightily and is drawing copious criticism for his performances.
Atlanta has won two games out of three in clutch time which is surprising given how well Jalen Brunson has typically performed in this period of the game. The Knicks were 21-13 in clutch time wins which ranks sixth in clutch time win percentage (61.8%) versus Atlanta who ranked 18th (48.6%).
The strategy to hunt Jalen Brunson on defense continued in Game 3 and likely won’t change in Game 4. With Brunson struggling at the game’s end, that choice is looking like a series-saving choice.
Still, the Knicks have the more talented, deeper club, so expect them to come out with a focused mission in mind. The only question is whether Brown will stick with McBride over Bridges to close out the match.
Ultimately, I’m rolling with New York to even up this series, so take the Knicks to win and cover.
