Wednesday, December 14th, finds the Miami Heat facing the OKC Thunder for the first of two scheduled matches. Miami will host the second match on January 10th.
Both teams last played Monday with the Heat defeating the Pacers 87-82 while the Thunder lost 114 -121 to the Mavericks.

Most impressive is his shooting proficiency with him connecting on 50 percent of his 20.8 attempts from the field. He’s shooting 92.6 percent from the charity stripe on 10 attempts per game both career-bests.
The Thunder score 115.8 points per game ranking seventh. OKC ranks 22nd shooting 46.1% from the field and ranks 21st from the perimeter shooting 34.0%.
Defensively, the Thunder rank 29th for opponent points allowed per game with 117.7 scored. Their foes shoot 46.7% from the field which ranks 12th and 36.0% from the perimeter ranking 18th.
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (ankle) and Kenrich Williams (knee) are out. Chet Holmgren (foot) is out for the season.

The Heat and Pacers served up an old-fashioned defensive battle on Monday where neither team scored 90 points — a point tally several teams have scored in one half this season. Case in point, Saturday the Bulls scored 82 points versus the Mavs in the first half.
While Miami won that match versus Indy, it’s notable they might have to carry that ability forward given their own struggles to put points on the board.
In that regard, this is a game of opposite ends of the spectrum with the Thunder allowing the second most points per game while the Heat score the fewest. Something’s got to give in this contest – so who’ll defy their typical tendency?
Butler being out for rest gave me pause, as does Miami’s road record (4-9) but the Thunder are struggling of late and the spread is low so I’ll take the Heat to win and cover.
