Wednesday, January 25th, finds the Memphis Grizzlies playing the Golden State Warriors for the second of four scheduled dates this season with Memphis hosting on March 9th and 18th.
The Christmas Day primer for this regular season series served up a bit of a shocker as the Dubs dominated, winning 123-109.
The Grizzlies last played Monday getting pummelled by the Kings 100-133 while the Warriors last played on Sunday losing 116-120 to the Nets.
Last season, the squads played four times with the Grizzlies winning three of the four contests. The Warriors hold the all-time record having bested the Grizzlies in 52 of their 100 matches.

Memphis Grizzlies
Since the 11-game winning streak, the Grizzlies have hit a bit of a rough patch losing three games in a row.
Memphis could just as easily have been on a 13-game streak if not for an untimely turnover by Desmond Bane in LA or a more focused first half in Phoenix.
The loss to the Kings was something else entirely as both Ja Morant and Steven Adams were out and the Kings took it to the Grizz who were playing the second game of a back-to-back set.

Offensively, the Grizzlies score 117.0 points per game ranking sixth overall. So far, Memphis registers 47.0% shooting efficiency from the field ranking 19th, and 34.9% from the perimeter ranking 21st.
The Grizzlies possess the best opponent field goal percentage limiting clubs to 44.6%. Also, they rank 10th in opponent scoring allowing 112.4 points per game, and rank 11th for opponent perimeter percentage at 35.5%.
Kennedy Chandler (nasal fracture) is available. Steven Adams (knee), John Konchar (concussion protocol) and Danny Green (knee) are out.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors never seem to do what’s expected. Case in point with Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green resting in Cleveland and playing the second game of a back-to-back the Dubs had every excuse to lose.
Instead, they won that match but back home facing the Durant-less Nets and their starters all back they lost. Go figure.
They also spanked the Grizzlies in their initial meeting but in that match, the officiating crew was particularly quick to whistle Jaren Jackson Jr. and that put the Grizz at a disadvantage. It’s doubtful Triple J makes the same mistake again, especially if the refs don’t’ allow physicality.
Stats
First thing to remember, Golden State averages 117.6 points per game which ranks third overall while they shoot 47.1% from the field and 37.7% from deep ranking 18th and fifth respectively.
So far, Warriors opponents score 118.0 points (27th) shooting 46.9% from the field (12th) and 36.2% from deep (19th).
James Wiseman (ankle) is probable while Andre Iguodala (hip) is out.
