The Bucks came up two games shy of tying the all-time consecutive Milwaukee win streak of 20 in a row held by the 1970-71 squad by virtue of the loss to the Luka Doncic-less Mavericks. The loss to the Mavericks is a bit surprising considering their star Luka Doncic wasn’t playing although the 18 wins in a row by the Bucks was the longest in the NBA this season.
In the loss, Giannis Antetokounmpo was a beast producing a double-double of 48 points with 14 boards and four assists. Only three teammates added double-figure scoring all from reserves. That trio included Kyle Korver (17), Ersan Ilyasova (11) and George Hill (10).
On the season Giannis Antetokounmpo leads three team categories for the Bucks including scoring (31.7), rebounding and (12.8), and field goal percentage (56.4%). The other categories are led by Eric Bledsoe (assists: 5.7), Donte DiVincenzo (steals 1.6) and Brook Lopez (blocks: 2.2).
Eric Bledsoe will be out two weeks after suffering a right fibula avulsion fracture. Dragan Bender is dealing with a right ankle sprain which kept him out the past five games; he is listed as questionable.
