The Lakers lost a one-point game in Philadelphia Wednesday and then turned around and lost by fifteen in Detroit the next night.
LeBron James had 22 points and 10 assists. Kyle Kuzma had 22 points and 10 rebounds. Talen Horton-Tucker scored 13 off the bench. Otherwise, the Lakers went quietly.
Anthony Davis didn’t play to rest his troublesome quad injury on the second night of the back-to-back and Blake Griffin had a big game — at least by his standards this season — as a result.

Will Davis play in this one? It would seem that’s the plan, as his bruised quad is, more or less, something to simply keep in check.
James had just five field goals in 12 attempts in his only game in Boston last season.
Boston Celtics
The Celtics’ four-point loss in San Antonio on Wednesday was the first time Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum all played together this season.
Brown, as he has been all season, was the Celtics’ best player. He scored a modest 24 points with four rebounds, five assists, no turnovers, two blocks and a steal.
Tatum scored a point more than Brown but shot just 11-for-25 and turned it over three times. Walker made a big shot or two but finished with just 14 and two assists.
